04.03.08
|
Ultimate Star Ajith riding high after the success of Billa which has crossed 75 days in most of the centres is presently working on a project for Ayngaran International. The title of the Movie has just been announced officially as 'Aegan'. The Movie is directed by Raju Sundaram. Raju Sundaram was to debut as a director with Parattai Engira Alagu Sundaram starring Dhanush in the lead but due to his previous committments he skipped it. Aegan has Raju behind the camera as a debutant director.
The love interest of Ajith in the movie has been changing since the shooting commenced. Shreya was the first choice, but then due to unknown reasons she was to be replaced by Katrina Kaif, the real life love of Salman Khan from Bollywood. But, then the latest we hear is that Nayanthara plays the lady love of Ajith in Aegan.

INDIRALOGATHIL NA.AZHAHAPPAN TURNS OUT TO BE AVERAGE
02.02.08
|
‘Vaigai Puyal’ Vadivelu’s latest comedy riot Indiralogathil Na.Azhagappan turns out to be an average entertainer. The movie is just a day old but the reports and the word of mouth on the movie looks like the audience are disappointed. His earlier release Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikesi was a super hit and had enjoyed an unexpected box office success. The success of Imsai has surely hyped the expectations surrounding the February release. But, being a mythological and fantasy theme, the major highlight of a Vadivelu movie, the comedy is mediocre. The Shreya and Vadivelu combo hasn’t worked out in the folk song.
Indiralogathil has Vadivelu in three different roles. It has him play Indiran, Ematharman and Na.Azhagappan. As usual the Vaigai Puyal has not failed to do his part in the acting deparment, comedy timing and dialogue delivery successfully, but the movie falters in the story and the screenplay part. Vadivelu’s role as the Ematharman will be remembered for long. And, for a movie that has been given a ‘U’ certificate, the glamour quotient is definitely a double dose when it comes to the costumes of Shreya and the Angels including Rambha, Menaka and Urvashi.
The movie is directed by Thambhi Ramaih with music by Sabesh Murali. Thota Tharani needs a special mention for his excellent art direction be it Indiralogam or Emalogam. Overall, the movie might entertain the children but for the adults it would remain to be an average entertainer and boring at times. |

02.02.08
|
Simbu Thevan is now a family name among the Tamil audience after his super hit with Vadivelu for Shankar’s S Pictures namely Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikesi. He portrayed Vadivelu in a dual role which gained the actor a Superstar Comedian status who could deliver a hit movie with him as the protagonist. After his debut directorial venture, Simbu Thevan is back with Arai En 305-il Kadavul again for Shankar as a Thanksgiving for trusting him with Imsai’s script. Arai En 305 has Prakash Raj, Santhanam and Kanja Karuppu.
Santhanam and Kanja Karuppu play the roles of Raasu and Mokkai respectively while Prakashraj is the ‘Kadavul’. With recent movie themes and titles which boast the God’s name and his ‘logams’, Arai En 305’s director Simbu Thevan promises another laugh riot such as Imsai. The story of the movie revolves around the life of four people – Santhanam, Kanja Karuppu, the love interests of them Madhumitha and Jothirmayee. Prakashraj is the God who is here is on earth to solve the problems in the lives of these humans.
The director is all praise of Prakashraj for the dedication he has been showing towards Cinema and Acting. The movie targets all the three centers such as A, B and C and is slated to be released in the end of February. |
